How was your Halloween? Mine was cool. Thought I would be able to hang on a Friday night but after work, someone was DEAD tired. *points to myself* I felt bad. I wanted to debut my original costume. "What were you planning to be for Halloween, Ms. RR?" Weeeeell, since you asked. I was going to be a "Lost" character!
WTF? (Why The Face?)
I don't care what no one says! I was gonna be a hit. L O L. My idea didn't go over well with my friends. Some laughed in my face. Some laughed behind. Folks shaking their heads. Only my "Lost" fans appreciated my effort. Even my friend took it to another level and said that whether I liked it or not, I was inevitably gonna be tagged as THE loser at her party. Standing in the corner, all in my lonesome. No one would've known who I was. What. Ev. Er. To help them out, I was gonna wear a sign around my neck stating, "LOOKING FOR MY PLANE". If they still didn't get it? That's their cup of tea!
So Saturday rolled around and I was geeked. Tonight would be the night to reveal my awesomeness at my friend's sister's housewarming/Halloween party.
Didn't happen.
That evening, I had to help out my father with a huge celebration he and his high school classmates organized. Kings College's 100th Anniversary Celebration: Washington, D.C. Branch. For those that might not know, Kings College is one of the best secondary schools in Nigeria. All male school. Apparently, a lot of prominent Naija guys went to that school. Very popular, indeed. Actually, the main celebration was this past September in Lagos, Nigeria. My sister is still kicking herself today for not traveling with my dad that month. What her intentions were, I don't know. *side eye*
Anywho, the event was from 8pm-12am. Naija time? 10pm-1am. *le sigh* Didn't leave that mess till 12am. Was so tired that I got home pretty much ready to hit the sheets. But a couple voices roamed through my head, all exclaiming the same thing, "You're such a flake!" (<---that's for another post time). At this point, I was not inspired to do my "Lost" costume anymore. So I went with my backup plan. Flapper girl. Paging the '30s (or was it '20s?). And for some odd reason while dressing up, I just gained this new found energy! Who knew dressing up for Halloween would put people in that kind of mood? Got to the party. My friend was beyond grateful that I didn't embarrass her (I have suffered!). Had a great time.
The end.
Moral of the story is...there is none.
I'm out like a thief in the night.

LMFAO @ your proposed lost outfit and tag. *Blank stare*...bwahahahhahaha.
Lost, what's lost? LOL
I never could make head nor tail of that series.
Your blog is nice..
OM: I don't get the laughter. The more I think about it, I should have went through with it!
Myne Whitman: Hi! Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the compliment. Oh, and "Lost" is THE show. It's genius. It's something that you DEF have to watch. Not now, though. You start watching now and you will be lost...literally. Start from Season 1. And I'm going to cry something terrible when the series finale ends next May. :o(
Hmm, okay, I'll admit that I've never seen Lost so I can't really say much about that! My friends watch it, though. You know, in case you wanted to know.. I have attachment issues with TV characters, so shows such as Lost, Grey's and so forth are things I could never do because I'd be bawling by the end.. I know. Embarassing :)
Thanks so much for stopping by! Your comment was so sweet and made my day!

my brain is out like a thief in the night. No moral????
Hehehe... I love your ramblings!
@ Nuttycoconut: Yep. You're not gonna find any moral endings on this blog. And technically, I am leaving like a thief in the night - quietly. Slinking out. Tip-toeing into the darkness. And thanks for loving my ramblings! I so have to update soon.
