SHAME!!! (my inner Mitchell from Modern Family coming out)
My 1st fashion post. I love clothes. I love styling (using the word "styling" very loosely considering I only style for like my sister and friends when asked upon). What kills me inside is when I see all these people with money that can't dress. Like, I whimper. Or when people wear all the trendiest items in one outfit and still come out looking like shit. Like, I tear up. Complete with color contacts....
*Breaking News! This post will come back to its regular scheduling posting but Where Amazing Happens has some breaking news! COLOR CONTACTS ARE WACK! YOU WILL LOOK WACK WITH THESE COLORED CIRCULAR OBJECTS IN YOUR EYES! IF YOU ARE NOT PLAYING A ROLE IN A MOVIE, PLEASE DO NOT CHANNEL YOUR INNER WOLVERINE WITH CAT LIKE EYES. STAY AWAY FROM COLOR CONTACTS THAT DOES NOT COMPLIMENT YOUR SKIN TONE! IT CAN DOWNGRADE YOUR STATUS FROM A 5 STAR CHICK! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Now, back to your regular scheduling posting already in progess... *
... Not quite yet. Pause. I've just used the term "5 Star Chick" in my posting. *blank freakin' stare*
Okay, I'm back. My favorite fashion magazine is InStyle. I get asked why I love the magazine so much considering that all they hype are expensive clothing. Ahh, but it's expensive clothing that's STYLED very well. Yes. See, it's not all the time that I look at expensive ish wishing and hoping and praying that one day I can possess these items. Never that. I look at the styles for inspiration. I can easily go to the thrift store (or Old Navy...YAY for Old Navy!) and duplicate those outfits for less. Crazy less. That's the beauty of fashion: always being inspired BUT with your own take.
Just peeped out this great website called Polyvore. You can create your own style by scouring multiple of items from multiple designers. High end fashion. Low end fashion. It's all there. Here are some that I've done:
I am officially hooked. I find myself being totally immersed in this site while my books are by the wayside, yearning for my touch. Dammit! Another freakin' distraction! Have...to...resist.
I'm out like my love for Farm Town. Shocker! It's all about Cafe World. Judge me not, people.

Thanks, Stacy! Yeah, I love that verse from his song ("Champion").
I've never tried these sights, but they look like fun. It's like dress-up, except without the hassle of changing, paying for the clothes, etc. etc.
Haha, and I've never tried coloured contacts.. Hmm.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's definitely like playing dress up. Cyber dress up. A total (fun) distraction.
You've never tried color contacts? Keep it that way.
No problem! You're talented.
Colored contacts are back? God save us all.
Girl, they're all around us. *shudders*
Polyvore rocks. Cute collages.
Coloured contacts? No.
x
Thanks WTS!
why are my ninth?:(
Probably because I care not so much about fashion.
LOL @ TM! I'm gonna make you start caring about fashion. Watch and see. Thanks for stopping by, though.
LOL @ colored contacts. You sure hate these don't ya?
Aniwoos Polvore looks cool, but I'm too lazy to play around with it.
I hate it with a passion that will never seize. Polyvore is also time consuming. Mess with it and before you know it, 3hrs has passed by.
love the first one xoxox
