Some Times I Just Wanna Get on TV and Just Let Loose - Eminem

I f*cks with TV. I prefer it over movies. All day, everyday. Do I watch way too much TV? You tell me (oh, and these are current TV shows, by the way):

LOST. American Idol. Gossip Girl. Project Runway. 90210. Family Guy. So You Think You Can Dance. Men of a Certain Age. Chuck. Southland. Modern Family. Parenthood (yes, that premieres next Monday but just from the commercials, I'm already hooked!). Ugly Betty (will officially R.I.P this May). Flashforward. Degrassi: The Next Generation. Amazing Race.

Anywho, as much as I love some TV, I am a HUGE fan of TV theme songs. I'm telling you, they don't make 'em like they used to. *le sigh*

Here's my greatest TV theme songs of all time. OF ALL TIME!!!:

I'm about to shed a tear up in this piece. *tear*

Factoid: Alan Thicke (from a TV show which theme song is also gonna be on this list) wrote and sang this gem. He's also the father of Robin Thicke and father-in-law to Paula Patton.

If you don't know the words by heart, then I feel sorry for your parents.

Okay, technically this is not a theme song but it is still a freakin' classic. Works great when someone is taking too long to answer a question.

Taking it back, like! No lyrics but the melody alone trumps any current theme song out today.

Till this day, the song hits me right here *taps area where heart is* I love it so much that it's in my Ipod. Oh I forgot to mention, I have a playlist called "TV Theme Songs". As specific as one gets. Carry on.

Alan Thicke's show.

*sings* With Gilligan. And the Skipper, too. The Millionaire and his Wife. The Movie Star. The Professor and Mary Anne. Here on Gilligan's Island! *sings*

*sings* Fish don't fry in the kit-chuun. The beans don't boil on the grill-luh!*sings*

This is a rarity. A good theme song in '00s. Shocker. I absolutely loved this show and was completely heartbroken when it was cancelled. Shame NBC! Shame! Long live Sam & Meg!

I'm out like not giving an apology for being a promiscuous dude. Seriously, America. The only apology Tiger owed was to his wife and kid. Everybody else? Fall back.

Sigh, just when I think you are yeye, you remind me that you rock.My heart smiled with this post. You watch more tv than I do now, never thought the day will come. Current best theme songs are True Blood, The old Big Love theme, The original Weeds theme and suddenly I go blank. Why is Good Times not on the list?

You rock! bye!

I'm just gonna overlook that "yeye" comment. I don't watch any of your shows but I will definitely check out the theme songs on YouTube. I don't care much for Good Time. The theme song is alright. When I do hear the song, it reminds me of that skit from "The Chapelle Show". LOL!

Fresh Prince Of Bel Air. A true intro marvel.
And thankfully I do know all the words.
